Arts Education For All!

Our Purpose

Baltimore Advocates for Arts Education envisions systematic policy changes that ensures every child in Baltimore City Public Schools—regardless of zip code, background, or circumstance—has equal access to high-quality, transformative arts education. We see vibrant classrooms alive with creativity, where the arts empower students to discover their voices, build confidence, and unlock their full potential. We believe that arts education is not a luxury but a fundamental right essential to academic success, social justice, and community resilience. Our vision is a united Baltimore community—parents, educators, artists, and leaders—working relentlessly to dismantle barriers, demand equitable resources, and embed the arts at the heart of every school’s culture. Together, we will create a future where the arts are recognized as indispensable to educating the whole child, fostering innovation, and building an inclusive, thriving Baltimore for generations to come.

BA4AE Mission

Baltimore Advocates for Arts Education (BA4AE) brings together parents, students, educators, artists, and community members to ensure that every child in Baltimore City Public Schools has access to meaningful, high-quality arts education.

We believe the arts are essential to learning, identity, and opportunity—and that all students, no matter their neighborhood, deserve the chance to create, perform, and thrive.

Through advocacy, partnership, and parent-led organizing, we work to uplift voices, expand access, and champion policies that put the arts at the heart of every school.
